Wednesday night I was out at Sydney International airport photographing an Ahmadiyya cricket team for a new personal project on Blacktown. They’re off to play in a tournament overseas. The airport was practically empty, and Glenn McGrath walks past. Needless to say, the team was pretty excited, and I was there to capture the moment on camera! They took it as a good sign for the tournament ahead.
The Story of Bungaree
Posted in News and Events - Chris Gleisner, Uncategorized on May 21, 2010 by chrisgleisnerYesterday I photographed the book launch for The Story of Bungaree at The Gunner’s Barracks in Mosman. The book was published by the Harbour Trust. Above is a photo of decendants of both Bungaree (Uncle Bob) and Governor Macquarie’s sister (Michelle – and I’m sorry I have forgotten her surname).
The Governor of NSW, Marie Bashir, launched the book, and as usual, gave a very nice speech. I’ve photographed her several times and I’m always impressed with her.
